2024 RIDE FOR THE LIVING GLOBAL CHALLENGE REGULATIONS 

§1 Purpose of the event

  1. Support of the Jewish community in Krakow, Poland.

  2. Commemoration of the Holocaust and Jewish history in Poland.

  3. Promotion of healthy lifestyles and active recreation.

  §4 Time and place

 

  1. Ride For The Living Global Challenge will take place in the month of June 2024.

  2. Ride For The Living Global Challenge has no fixed meeting spot, it is carried out in any place chosen by the participant and within the dates indicated by the Organizer.

§5 Conditions of participation 

 

  1. Individual Participant must fill out the registration form provided by the Organizer in order to take part in the event.

  2. Satellite events partner organizations must fill out the registration form provided by the Organizer in order to take part in the event.

  3. Upon registration, participant will receive instructions on how to join the event, how to engage in the event, and how to be admitted to dedicated social media groups.

  4. Participation in the event is free of charge. While registering, participants can choose the opportunity to donate to the Jewish Community Centre of Krakow. Participants who donate between $100 and $179 will receive a 2024 Ride For The Living t-shirt. Participants who donate $180 or more will receive a 2024 Ride For The Living jersey or two 2024 Ride For The Living t-shirts. Donations are non-refundable. 

  5. Anyone can participate in Ride For The Living Global Challenge. Children and teens under 18 years old should be accompanied and supervised by an adult during their participation.

  6. By registering for the event, you agree that you are capable of participation in the Ride For The Living Global Challenge, and in particular, that you have no pre-existing medical conditions that would limit your participation. 

  7. Participant joins the Ride For The Living Global Challenge entirely at their own risk and is responsible for self-selecting a safe environment to exercise. The Organizer is not responsible for any accidents or injuries sustained while taking part in the Ride For The Living Global Challenge event.

  8. Accepted means of participation in the Ride for the Living Global Challenge are: cycling (including spin bike), running (including treadmill), walking, hiking, and/or participation in any sport with trackable distance. 

  9. Participant agrees they will participate and complete their indicated distance in a manner chosen by them, at locations chosen by them, and entirely at their own risk.

  10. Registration for Ride For The Living Global Challenge indicates that the participant is familiar with the rules and regulations outlined above and accepts them. 

  11. Each participant will take part in the event willingly and at his or her own discretion (or at the discretion and supervision of a parent or legal guardian for participants under the age of 18). 

  12. The Organizer will not verify the physical ability and/or capacity of any cyclists prior to their participation in the event. 

  13. Participation in the event will be granted regardless of cycling, running and walking experience, though training and adequate preparation is recommended.

  14. Results of the participant’s efforts will be verified after participant provides confirmation of completion via email or on another platform indicated by the the organizer.

  15. The organizer will provide platforms where participants can write posts,exchange information, ideas, and opinions, as well as share photos and other materials. Such actions are collectively referred to as “Postings”. 

  16. All “Postings” must comply with the spirit of respect, tolerance and generally applicable  standards of  “netiquette.”

  17. The organizer reserves the right to monitor and/or moderate and/or report all “Postings” and may remove all or part of any “Posting” that the the Organizer deems offensive or in breach of the standards set above.

 

§6 Fundraising

  1. Participants are encouraged to fundraise to support the Jewish Community Centre of Krakow.

  2. The Organizer will provide participants with access to a fundraising platform where they can set up their personal fundraising pages. 

  3. There is no obligatory fundraising minimum for participants.

§7 Organizer’s responsibility

  1. The Organizer is not responsible for any accidents and/or collisions, both regarding participants as well as third parties.

  2. The Organizer is responsible for providing registration forms, and platforms to track the physical activity of participants. 

  3. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the event in case of force majeure without obligation to return the donations.

§8 Final provisions

  1. The Organizer reminds the participant that the Ride For The Living Global Challenge is an independent component of the original Ride For The Living and will not operate in a specific place but as a virtual event. Each participant is responsible for preparing their own exercise plan and acquiring equipment.

  2. By participating in the event, participants agree to their image being published in the Organizer’s promotional materials.

  3. The final interpretation of the regulations belongs to the Organizer.

  4. In the case of arguable matters, the decision of the Organizer is final.

  5. Not knowing the rules and regulations does not exempt the participant from compliance with them.

  6. In the case of participant noncompliance, the Organizer retains the right to exclude the participant from the event with no notice and/or refund, nor is the Organizer obligated to refund the private donors solicited on their behalf.

§4 Czas i miejsce

 

  1. Ride For The Living Global Challenge odbędzie się w czerwcu 2024 roku.

  2. Ride For The Living Global Challenge nie ma stałego miejsca spotkania, odbywa się w dowolnym miejscu wybranym przez uczestnika oraz w terminach wskazanych przez Organizatora.

§5 Warunki uczestnictwa

 

  1. Aby wziąć udział w wydarzeniu, uczestnik musi wypełnić formularz rejestracyjny udostępniony przez Organizatora.

  2. Organizacje partnerskie wydarzeń satelitarnych muszą wypełnić formularz rejestracyjny dostarczony przez Organizatora, aby wziąć udział w wydarzeniu.

  3. Po zarejestrowaniu uczestnik otrzyma instrukcje jak dołączyć do wydarzenia oraz jak dołączyć do dedykowanych grup w mediach społecznościowych.

  4. Udział w wydarzeniu jest bezpłatny. Podczas rejestracji uczestnicy mogą zdecydować się na przekazanie darowizny na rzecz Centrum Społeczności Żydowskiej w Krakowie. Darowizny nie podlegają zwrotowi.

  5. W Ride For The Living Global Challenge może wziąć udział każdy zainteresowany. Dzieci i młodzież poniżej 18 roku życia powinny być pod nadzorem i opieką osoby dorosłej podczas uczestnictwa w wydarzeniu.

  6. Rejestrując się na wydarzenie, potwierdzasz, że jesteś w stanie wziąć udział w Ride For The Living Global Challenge, a w szczególności, że nie masz żadnych wcześniejszych schorzeń, które ograniczałyby Twój udział.

  7. Uczestnik bierze udział w Ride For The Living Global Challenge całkowicie na własne ryzyko i jest odpowiedzialny za samodzielny wybór bezpiecznego środowiska do ćwiczeń. Organizator nie ponosi odpowiedzialności za żadne wypadki lub urazy doznane podczas udziału w imprezie Ride For The Living Global Challenge 2024.

  8. Akceptowanymi sposobami uczestnictwa w wirtualnym wydarzeniu są: jazda na rowerze (w tym na rowerze treningowym), bieganie (w tym na bieżni), spacery, wędrówki piesze lub uprawianie jakiegokolwiek sportu z możliwością śledzenia dystansu.

  9. Uczestnicy potwierdzają, że wezmą udział i  ukończą wyznaczony dystans w wybrany przez siebie sposób, w wybranych przez siebie lokalizacjach i całkowicie na własne ryzyko.

  10. Rejestracja na Ride For The Living Global Challenge 2024 oznacza, że ​​uczestnik zapoznał się z regulaminem wydarzenia i go akceptuje.

  11. Każdy uczestnik bierze udział w wydarzeniu dobrowolnie i według własnego uznania (lub według uznania i nadzoru rodzica, lub opiekuna prawnego w przypadku uczestników poniżej 18 roku życia). Organizator nie będzie weryfikował sprawności fizycznej uczestników przed ich udziałem w wydarzeniu.

  12. W wydarzeniu mogą brać udział osoby na różnym poziomie zaawansowania, jednak zaleca się wcześniejszy trening i odpowiednie przygotowanie.

  13. Dystans pokonany przez uczestnika zostanie zarejestrowany w systemie po przesłaniu potwierdzenia zaliczenia wyzwania drogą mailową lub na innej platformie wskazanej przez Organizatora.

  14. Organizator zapewni platformy, na których uczestnicy będą mogli pisać posty, wymieniać się informacjami, pomysłami i opiniami, a także zamieszczać zdjęcia i inne materiały. Takie działania są zbiorczo określane jako „Wpisy”.

  15. Wszystkie Posty muszą być zgodne z duchem szacunku, tolerancji i ogólnie obowiązującymi standardami „netykiety”.

  16. Organizator zastrzega sobie prawo do monitorowania, lub moderowania, lub zgłaszania wszystkich Wpisów i może usunąć całość lub część Wpisów, które Organizator uzna za obraźliwe lub w inny sposób naruszające niniejsze zasady.

§6 Zbieranie funduszy

  1. Zachęcamy uczestników do zbierania funduszy na wsparcie Centrum Społeczności Żydowskiej w Krakowie.

  2. Organizator zapewni uczestnikom dostęp do platformy fundraisingowej, na której będą mogli założyć swoje osobiste strony fundraisingowe.

  3. Nie ma obowiązkowego minimum zbiórki dla uczestników.

§7 Odpowiedzialność Organizatora

  1. Organizator nie ponosi odpowiedzialności za wypadki i kolizję, zarówno dotyczące uczestników, jak i osób trzecich.

  2. Organizator odpowiada za udostępnienie formularzy rejestracyjnych oraz platform do śledzenia aktywności fizycznej uczestnikom.

  3. Organizator zastrzega sobie prawo do odwołania imprezy w przypadku wystąpienia siły wyższej bez obowiązku zwrotu darowizn.

§8 Postanowienia końcowe

  1. Organizator przypomina, że ​​Ride For The Living Global Challenge jest niezależnym elementem oryginalnego wydarzenia Ride For The Living i nie będzie odbywać się  w konkretnym miejscu, ale jest prowadzone jako wydarzenie wirtualne. Każdy uczestnik jest odpowiedzialny za przygotowanie własnego planu ćwiczeń oraz zakup sprzętu do udziału w wyzwaniu.

  2. Biorąc udział w wydarzeniu, uczestnicy wyrażają zgodę na publikację ich wizerunku w materiałach promocyjnych Organizatora.

  3. Ostateczna interpretacja regulaminu należy do Organizatora.

  4. W przypadku spraw spornych decyzja Organizatora jest ostateczna.

  5. Nieznajomość regulaminu nie zwalnia uczestnika z jego przestrzegania.

  6. W przypadku naruszenia przez uczestnika postanowień regulaminu, Organizator zastrzega sobie prawo do wykluczenia uczestnika z imprezy bez wcześniejszego uprzedzenia lub zwrotu pieniędzy, jak również nie jest zobowiązany do zwrotu darowizn pozyskanych przez niego od prywatnych darczyńców.
